Summary of the adventure:
Sandra Corrs, the leader of the largest children's toy factory in the bubble, has asked for help from the commanders for the delivery of Christmas gifts. Will you respond to help save the holidays?
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to experience this adventure in the game since January 6, 3309.
However, it is possible to complete this adventure and earn points on The Élite Dangereuse in two different detailed ways.
o7 CMDR, while you were in your spaceship ship en route to the Lave system to buy their famous their famous Brandy to enjoy at Christmas, you pick up a message from a you receive a message from a certain Sandra Corrs appealing for help this holiday season. Due to the massive Thargoid attack, most of the delivery personnel are busy helping the refugees victims of the onslaught. Unfortunately, thousands children in the bubble will be deprived of Christmas presents this year. That's why she's asking for your help to deliver Christmas presents.
Santa's list
After hearing Sandra Corrs' message through your your communication system, you decide to take part Christmas adventure. It only takes a few a few minutes to find Sandra Corrs' complete message Corrs in Galnet.
Here is the article in question:
*Pilots’ Federation ALERT*
Sandra Corrs, CEO of the largest manufacturer of children’s toys in the core systems, has requested help this holiday season.
Many parents will be familiar with Sandra’s Workshop, recognizing the company logo stamped across countless datapads, interactive suites and tactile play sets designed for youngsters. But the joy of this year’s festive season is at risk, with the recent Thargoid invasion impacting the Workshop’s distribution chain.
In an interview with Vox Galactica, Corrs explained:
“We typically use a fleet of transports provided by our partner company, Dolph’s Routes, to deliver presents to good children all across the bubble. But those transports have been assigned to provide evacuation support to 63 Tauri. Entirely understandable, and I applaud the company for its brave work. But it does leave many presents without a sleigh, as my grandfather used to say!
I’m hoping that independent pilots will fill the vacancy left to deliver festive gifts to the children in time for the upcoming holidays. Arrangements will be made to provide a variety of wonderful rewards for those pilots who help keep youthful spirits high in these troubling times.”
Pilots willing to help Sandra’s Workshop can collect festive gifts from the Frost Dock outpost in the Njambalba system. A beacon outside Frost Dock will distribute delivery information when scanned.
So the first step of this mission is to get to the outpost "Frost Dock" in the "Njambalba" system. Beware, this outpost only allows small and medium-sized vessels.
The Frost Dock outpost
Once you've arrived at the resort, you can find "festive gifts" in the commodity market. Buy 6 of them. You're free to buy more, but for this mission, that's more than enough.
Sandra's Workshop's festive gifts
Once your cargo hold is filled with gifts, you need to leave the outpost and make your way to the navigation beacon "SANDRA'S POSTBOX" (Sandra's mailbox). Upon arrival, simply approach the beacon to scan it and retrieve the children's letters.
There are a total of 6 letters, each containing a clue to discover where you should go to deliver these gifts. Let's begin with the first letter.
As soon as you're ready, go to step 2
Helena Lemura
The first letter was written by 9-year-old Helena Lemura:
Dear Sandra,
I have been a very good girl this year. All my classwork was completed on time. I helped Daddy with changing tommy in the mornings. I even ate all of the horrible stew Mummy makes on Wednesdays!
She keeps saying it’s a ‘Bokeili Special’ bit it tastes so WEIRD. I know Mummy loves making it for us so I finish mine every week.
I’d like a full box of special flavourings I can sneak into my bowl when she’s not looking. Then I’d look forward to Wednesdays as much as Mummy does.
Thank you!
In this pretty little letter, Helena unknowingly gives us a (big) clue as to where she lives, and therefore where to deliver the presents.
The clue is "Bokeili". After searching the galactic map, we find "Bokeili Station" in the "WYRD" system. Lore time: Kevin Bokeili was a French writer, best known for his "Gorck's Land" trilogy and the "Timeport" saga. Read more...
Once we know our destination, all we have to do is heat up the FSD to get there. Once you've arrived at the station, you need to sell 1 gift (be careful, the game suggests you sell everything at once) to receive a message from Sandra.
As soon as you're ready, go to step 3
Paddy Gobert
The second letter was written by 11-year-old Paddy Gobert:
HELLO SANDRA
I WOULD LIKE THE LATEST INSIGHT GAME CALLED ‘MEDAL OF DUTY 142’ PLEASE BECAUSE MY STUPID FRIEND COLIN KEEPS BEATING ME AT ‘MEDAL OF DUTY 141’ AND SAYING HE’S THE BEST PLAYER ON CREGGLEZONE
SO IF I GET THE LATEST VERSION BEFORE HIM I CAN PRACTICE THEN BEAT HIM UNTIL HE HAS ANOTHER TANTRUM LIKE LAST YEAR WHEN HE LOST TO HIS SISTER AT MONOPOLY SIX TIMES IN A ROW.
As in the previous letter, little Paddy also gives us a crucial piece of information about where to go to bring him a copy of Medal of Duty 142.
The clue here is "CREGGLEZONE". Again, after a quick search, we find the station of the same name in the "Wolf 397" system.
On your way to bring Paddy CMDR's gift!
As soon as you're ready, go to step 4
Gareth Brunn
The third letter was written by 6-year-old Gareth Brunn:
Dear Sandra,
Please may I have a moon with some snow on it. My sister keeps telling there is no snow on our moon so I want to give one to her. My sister is very nice to me and I love her very much.
In this letter, the solution is a little more complicated, but I'm sure you're beginning to grasp the logic.
The clue this time is the "moon with snow" information and the fact that the name is in English. Just look for the English translation "Snow Moon" in the galactic map and you'll discover the "Bento" system.
As before, it's back into the system with the presents. I hope Gareth's sister won't be too disappointed, as covering a moon with snow isn't for us or even Santa Claus.
As soon as you're ready, go to step 5
Darcy Draper
The fourth letter is written by 7-year-old Darcy Draper:
Dear Sandra,
I keep seeing these beautiful flowers on the newsfeeds and it makes me want to draw! My friends laugh at me when I say that, but I think they’re pretty
My Judson datapad broke when my little brother dropped it in the toilet - please can you sent me a new one? I promise I’ll do a drawing of the station and the flowers for you. Thank you Sandra.
As with the previous letter, this riddle is a little more complicated. Read the letter carefully to find the clues.
There are two clues in this letter. The first is easy enough: it's "Judson".
After searching the galactic map, you'll discover that it's a fairly common name.
You'll have to look a little harder to find the other clue, which is a drawing of the station. So we have our destination: "Judson Station" in the "Mizar" system.
Ahead CMDR, let's give this future Xenobiologist a new tablet!
As soon as you're ready, go to step 6
Hintak Thorpe
The fifth letter is written by Hintak Thorpe, aged 9:
To Mrs Sandra,
I’ve been learning about historical entertainment at school this month. My teacher took the class to a museum with some ancient con-soles. They must have been very old because I’ve never seen anything like them before! There was a special room where we could play some old games, and my favourite one was called Race to London.
I want to build my own con-sole and play it some more. Please send me the parts to make one!
Once again, a clue is hidden in this letter, so look carefully to find it.
The clue in this letter lies in the phrase "Race to London". Searching for the term "London" on the map, there are only two results and only one is a station: "London Relay" in the "Epsilon Indi" system.
A future engineer needs spare parts. Go for it, commander, he can't wait another second!
As soon as you're ready, go to step 7
Ellie Wineman
The sixth and last letter is written by 10-year-old Ellie Wineman:
Dear Sandra,
I’m about to turn 11 and I would really like a starship race track. I never got a big present before because Eden is so far away from everything that nobody ever brings nice toys out here. I just get a new mug every year! That’s why I wanted to ask you. I heard you make the best toys and Mom says that you won’t send anything if I don’t tell you.
Please please please send one of your ships out here, it would make this the best holiday ever!
Finally, this last letter gives several clues as to the identity of this well-known station for coffee-loving commanders. Please note: this trip is very long (1h30 by manual navigation), so prepare yourself a snack for the journey.
For this final letter, we have two clues. The first is "Eden". After a search, we discover that it's a planet in the system "Alpha Centauri".
Finally, Ellie tells us that she receives a cup every year, and if there's one station known for this, it's "Hutton Orbital" which sells the rare resource "Tasse Hutton".
Poor Ellie, only having mugs for Christmas is a tragedy, off you go CMDR!
Once you have brought poor Ellie her gift, move on to step 8
The End
Well done CMDR, you've saved Christmas and brought a little comfort to the children of the bubble during this sad time of war.
Before you leave Hutton Orbital, don't hesitate to buy a mug as a souvenir.
The famous Hutton mugs
Did you know that there's a joke about Hutton Orbital?
A lot of players made it seem as if all you had to do was go to Hutton Orbital
to get a free Anaconda. Many new players fell for this trick
and undertook the long journey to this outpost, not having a large pad along the way.
