Author's note: To complete this adventure, it is necessary to have at least Rank Matelot and a Ship of the Federation.

The November 29, 3308 will forever be etched in your memory, as the Thargoids declared war on Mankind, the shocking images of which awakened in you an irrepressible desire to join the Federal Navy.
 


After long months of in-depth study of Xenomorph combat at Navy Central, a Moon-Earth in the Eta Cassiopeiae system, where the Navy's Special Operations Base and Command Center reside, you're finally ready to take part in the fight.

The Crème de la Crème


Congratulations on graduating from Isaac Gellan University. 
Although you didn't come in first place, your grades are still excellent. 
This allows you to choose the career path that appeals to you most. 
There are many options: crew member on a Farragut, maintenance technician, engineer, logistics manager... 
All these fields are interesting, but only one truly captures your interest: 
piloting your own combat vessel and engaging in ground military operations.
It turns out that only one organization can fulfill all your desires: the GITAX, an elite unit of the Federal Navy.



Before embracing your new life, you took the time to review your notes on AX combat in order to make a good impression:
 

- Thargoid Interceptors are biomechanical vessels. There are four Interceptor variants: the Cyclops, the Basilisk, the Medusa and the Hydra.


- Combat strategy involves destroying all the hearts of an Interceptor.

- Each type of Interceptor is protected by a shield whose resistance gradually decreases over time.

- The Interceptor will not deploy its shields until the first core has been destroyed.

- Once the shield is depleted, sufficient damage must be inflicted on the Interceptor's hull to extract a heart. 
At this point, one of the Interceptor's petals will glow red. Aim for this area to destroy the heart.

- At the start of the battle, it will release a swarm. Each time a heart is destroyed, a new swarm will be deployed. 
If it's close to a planetary surface, a Thargoid Interceptor won't release a swarm.

- Equipment-wise, you'll want heavy armour and hulls, AX weapons, heat sinks, caustic sink launcher, xeno scanner and shutdown field neutraliser.

 



Once you've completed this step, move on to the next.

After a perfectly reasonable period of time, given the usual length of federal bureaucratic processes, you’re finally a member of the elite group.

The True fight!



Farewell to flight simulations! From now on, you'll feel the genuine adrenalin of space combat. Once your ship is ready, it's time to take the fight to the enemy.
 


- Head to an AX Conflict Zone, a Non-Human Signal Source, an Attacked Station, or face a Thargoid Interception with your Federation ship.
- Engage and triumph over a Thargoid Interceptor.
